Election Subversion
Trump's Campaign to Subvert the Midterms
The fundamental right to a free and fair election is under serious threat. Trump is mounting an unprecedented, multi-pronged campaign designed to control who registers, who votes and who wins.
Trump has already demonstrated how far he will go to hold onto power. We have seen the blueprint: the desperate pressure on Georgia officials to "find" 11,780 votes, the coordination of fake elector slates to bypass the popular will, and the violent attack of January 6th.
While those threats remain in Trump’s playbook, the tactics have expanded to the bureaucratic machinery of the state. From the seizure of local voting records to the build-up of a police state, the goal remains the same: election subversion. While we continue to fight the administration’s violation of constitutional requirements and human rights, protecting the vote is the priority. If we lose the ability to win at the ballot box, we have lost our democracy.
Don't Let Them Register
Strategic barriers implemented during the registration phase to ensure millions of eligible citizens are blocked from the voter rolls before a single ballot is cast.
Gutting the Voting Rights Act
This will override the protection against discriminatory gerrymandering.
The MEGA Act
Require proof of citizenship to vote and ban mail-in ballots after election day. This could disenfranchise 21 million Americans.
Voter Purges
Federal agencies, including the SSA and DHS, must provide states free access to databases to facilitate the purging of alleged non-citizens from voter rolls.
Proof of Citizenship
Mail-in voter registration must include proof of citizenship and to "cease providing Federal funds to States that do not comply..."
Don't Let Them Vote
The weaponization of federal law enforcement and intimidation tactics to disrupt local election administration and voting.
Voter Intimidation
"Poll watchers" were placed in heavily Democratic areas during the Fall 2025 special elections, a move widely viewed as a tactic for direct voter intimidation.
Extortion for Voter Data
The DOJ is suing multiple states to force the release of personal voter information, recently attempting to extort Minnesota to turn over voter rolls in exchange for ICE leaving.
Insurrection Act Threats
Repeated administration threats to invoke the Insurrection Act for military control of civilians raises the risk of implementation before the election, perhaps as an October Surprise, to undermine constitutional rule.
Seizure of Records
On January 28, 2026, the FBI seized voting records from Fulton County, Georgia, with the Director of National Intelligence present without explanation.
Don't Count Their Votes
Post-election maneuvers designed to disqualify valid votes and sabotage the certification process to overturn the will of the people.
GOP Control Voting
On February 2, 2026. Trump said, "We should take over the voting in at least, many, 15 places. The Republicans ought to nationalize the voting."
Mid-Decade Gerrymandering
The Supreme Court has allowed partisan gerrymandering, which Trump turned into a new arms race by asking Texas to redraw its maps in the middle of the decade.
Mandatory Reporting
Under Executive Order 14248, the President creates new election "standards" by fiat, then mandates that states report any violations of these decrees to the DOJ. By threatening to withhold federal funding from non-compliant states, the administration effectively bypasses Congress to seize control of local election administration and build a centralized federal voter database.
Mail-In Ballot Sabotage
New postal processing rules mean ballots are no longer postmarked when mailed, but only when they reach regional hubs, creating delays that may disqualify valid votes.
Punishing "Late" Ballots
The administration plans to take action against any states that continue to count legitimate ballots received after Election Day.
